A third home on Hedgegate Road! This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with a loft on the west meadow (the detached two-car garage is not shown in plan drawings). This was home was completed in in the fall of 2005 by another local contractor and colleague of mine. To accommodate the 16 foot height limit of this lot, the loft has been designed with a flat roof, a strategy that has become, in my opinion, a part of the "Sea Ranch vernacular". The spiral stair will take up less square footage than conventional stairs. This home has a septic system, and must also conform to the square footage limit governed by the Bane Bill.

This home features photovoltaic panels on the south-facing garage roof, installed by the owner. PV has become increasingly affordable and economical in second-home applications at the Sea Ranch, where part-time homeowners reap the benefits of collecting a surplus of energy during the week and using it over the weekend.
