This is a home I completed in 1988, while I was working on my MFA. It is one of my more playful projects, in the "post-modern" style. The site was a steeply graded hillside, which called for extensive foundation work. Like many post-modernists, I used the language of classical architecture; notice the column and pediment in the entry. I commissioned a sculptor friend to create gargoyles for the gutter spouts.
